Why is Obama Urging Congress to Delay the Fort Hood Investigation?

November 14th, 2009 by Angela | Filed under Ramblings.

Yes, that’s right people! Obama is urging congress to delay the Fort Hood investigation? Why? Why would he do that? Doesn’t he care about the fact that this was a terrorist attack on our own soil?

Obama Urges Congress to Delay Fort Hood Investigation

All of the law enforcement agencies should be investigating this and if congress has a way in which they can help then they should all be working together to get this investigation over and done. What is Obama’s problem? He told lawmakers, “resist the temptation to turn this tragic event into the political theater.” Are you kidding me?

Obama will not send more troops to Afghanistan and now he doesn’t want this Fort Hood investigation? What is he thinking? Why should congress hold off on their investigation when all the agencies could be working together?

Lawmakers, however, already have announced they want their own investigations and were frustrated with what they view as a less-than-forthcoming administration.

Do you blame them? How does this look when the President of the United States tells law makers to back off? That is not right. It’s as if he doesn’t want us to get to the bottom of what happened on our own soil. How is getting answers and finding out what is going on political theater? Isn’t that was he is doing by telling them not to investigate? Isn’t that in itself political theater?

They have to investigate NOW and do so while the iron is still HOT. Why would he ever ask for a delay? You know… it kinda makes sense now why he is not sending the troops that the boots on the ground are asking for. What is our president doing? It seems as if he is more concerned with his celebrity than he is doing what needs to be done to get the job done.

Political theater my butt. Obama is more concerned with his celebrity than with running this country. I wouldn’t be surprised if secretly, deep down, he wants to run the world. Celebrity will get him there too. I think he’s absolutely crazy to tell congress to hold off on investigating. Same thing goes for his delay in sending troops that are needed to Afghanistan.

It has been confirmed that this guy Hasan was in talks with radical Muslim groups and no one did a damn thing and now Obama wants to still have nothing done! Why? Is it because he’s trying to be politically correct? Is it because he has ties to the radical Muslim world?

Last time I checked the Department of Homeland Security has every right to conduct their investigation NOW while the evidence is fresh and new. There is no time to waste! This massacre, terrorist act, happened on our soil. We have a right to know what happened, who did it, why did they do it, and who the connections are? ALL of the agencies have a right to connect the dots and Barack Obama is the one that should butt out of the process. If anything he should be giving all of the agencies his 100% unconditional support!

Yes Yes Yes Yes and Yes!

It is infuriating! When will America wake up and demand that the president actually start acting like a leader? When will they wake up and see that he is nothing more than a sympathizer of the enemy?

    He makes me sick!

  2. Angela says:

Now we have the 9/11 trial rolling out in New York. How long will it take for them to put George W. Bush on trial?

Everything that is going on since Barack Obama has been elected has been backwards. Where is the hope and the change that was suppose to bring this country moving forward?

How come it doesn’t feel like we are moving forward? It feels like we are moving backwards? Not only are we moving in a backward direction but slowly we are being stripped of our rights.

  3. Amy says:

I think you are right Angela about him secretly wanting to rule the world. In addition to that I honestly think he is so sensitive & thin-skinned that he cannot make the tough decisions that his “base” will be upset with. Sure, he has no problems criticizing us “right-wing extremists” & calling us names because he doesn’t see us as real people so he could care less about what we say. He is nothing more than a pandering liar and I have never been more disgusted with him than I am at this moment.

  4. Kathy says:

Here is the statement from the President:

“There is an ongoing investigation into this terrible tragedy,” Obama said. “That investigation will look at the motives of the alleged gunman, including his views and contacts.”

“We must compile every piece of information that was known about the gunman, and we must learn what was done with that information. Once we have those facts, we must act upon them.”

The shootings are being investigated by the folks who should be investigating them- the FBI and the military. Once their investigation is over, then if Congress wishes to launch further investigations, more power to them. You know, you gals, and the rest of the luntic right wingers are, as always, making a mountain out of a molehill. Drama queens, each and every one of you.

Hey, I’ll let you in on a little secret, Obama does not want to rule the world (I get the giggles even writing that ridiculous statement)- I WANT TO RULE THE WORLD!!!!

Ha, ha, ha, ha!! Ya’ll have a nice night now….

  5. Angela says:

“If” Congress wants to launch further investigations?

Um, hello Ms. Kathy Nut-job who needs to go back to her cooking class under that bridge..

Since when is the Department of Homeland Security and any other agency empowered to brief Congress supposed to sit on the sidelines and wait?

Are you crazy OR just stupid?

Here we have a president that should be giving his unconditional support and instead.. he wants to pitch a fit and say that it’s some sort of political stunt? Oh please!

He wouldn’t know how to act like a president if his own life depended on it. He’s nothing but a community organizing, telepromptering, black liberation theology worshiping fool.

He doesn’t care about what happened at Fort Hood. He doesn’t want us to get to the bottom of it. In fact, he probably hopes it all fizzles.

He doesn’t want to send more troops overseas when it’s pretty damn clear that they are needed in a war that he actually believes in and had endorsed on the campaign trail.

The only thing he’s interested in doing these days now that he isn’t defending ACORN and community organizing is to run around Europe and apologize on my behalf and on behalf of this good nation that did nothing to warrant such behavior.

And HE thought Chicago should get the Olympics … hmmm … let me get this straight … Olympics vs. OUR TROOPS. The Nobel Peace Prize vs. OUR TROOPS. Proper investigation into the Fort Hood Massacre vs. OUR TROOPS.

I’m beginning to think that the word stupid is too nice for you. There are other phrases that come to mind but I will refrain so as not to scare my friends.

  6. Becki says:

Oh Angela, you just could never scare me – I know exactly the kinds of words that are coming to mind right now. They aren’t pretty, and from what I have seen neither is Kathy – I’ll say it, what a bitch!

Kathy, how many times have you said you will stop coming here to Angela now? And how many times have you shown back up with your snotty ass attitude? What gives? Are you just someone that gets off on tearing into people?

Let me tell you something Kathy… If you want to rule the world then you go right ahead and kiss Obama’s ass and both of you together can join forces and rule what can only be the gates of HELL!

Angela, I’m sorry. I know that does nothing to further the kingdom of God. I know I must look like a crazy freak to Kathy right now. I know that my faith must look like a joke to her as I have just spoken so harshly. But what I also know is that she is the biggest twat I have ever witnessed online!

  7. Becki says:

Ya know, Kathy reminds me of Hattie Durham and Obama of Nicolae Carpathia.

    I’m just sayin….

  8. Angela says:

Ya better get to googling Kathy or you might miss something!

  9. Kathy says:

Okay, okay, now calmn down girls. Geez, all I did was call you drama queens. I was only joking. And in return, I was called a twat and a bitch. This is a rough house….

This thing with Obama is such a non-issue, the same as when he first addressed the tragedy- it is a non-issue. You know, if Obama farts, I am sure I can count on Glenn Beck to chime in with a conspiracy theory as to why Obama farted a certain way and that it will lead to the destruction of the country Beck loves so much. Then, we can all watch him cry and carry on. That will, of course, lead to all the mindless zombies watching Beck to carry his message to the rest of the world and demand that something be done about Obama farting. Does that sound reasonable to you two?

Hey, who is this Hattie person? Is she good looking and smart?

Let me ask you. Do you guys really want me to leave? Who would you have to play with? Who would you have to unload all that Christian hostility onto?

If you really, really want me to leave, then I will. Just let me know.

  10. ptg says:

Obama doesn’t want an investigation until all the facts have been fabricated.

    Cat fight, ladies? How becoming.

  11. Kathy says:

Look, pal, we don’t need you to tell us what is becoming, okay?

Don’t worry, girls, this guy is just trying to start trouble, and I set him straight. Why, the nerve!!!

You know, you two gals remind me when I used to wish I had sisters. I am an only child, but when I was young I always wanted sisters to play with and fight with.

  12. Kathy says:

Oh, by the way, have ya’ll seen the photos of Obama bowing to the Emporer of Japan? I can’t wait to hear the spin on this. I am sure the talking heads on FOX will have a field day with this, especially Beck.

  13. Becki says:

Geez, Kathy, if you had just told us up front that you were an only child all your hostility would have made sense! You are expressing classic sibling rivalry – I guess Angela should be flattered that you are so obsessed with her!

And you are the one who keeps saying you are gonna leave and never do. Frankly, yes, I wish you would leave. Your hostility towards Anegla is getting quite old.

My apologies for the use of the word “twat”. I actually woke up this morning feeling bad about that.

As for “bitch” – well, I call ‘em like I see ‘em.

Hattie is a character from a book series – doubtful you would be interested in reading it.

PTG – I made a screaching meowing type sound just now just for you, LOL!!! ;)

  14. ValentineLaw says:

What Kathy and other BHO-followers don’t get is that an investigation by the FBI and other police organizations, including the military, are closed to the public. An investigation by CONGRESS is supposed to be done by the people, for the people, and the results are made public. Ask yourself why BHO doesn’t want the investigation public…it’s because he and his liberal brethren will be called to the mat for advancing his DANGEROUS and beyond naive “politically correct” philosophy of forming some global community. As the right has been saying all along, our enemies want to kill us, period. No amount of hand holding, singing kumbaya, or peace talks will stop that. They only understand WAR – death and destruction – and that is how we fight them or else we all lose and peaceful, freedom-loving Americans die. BHO is a joke to the middle east, and now to America in general. He can’t afford to have it confirmed to the public. That’s why the public wants Congress to investigate – it is Congress’ duty to inform the public about what they find. Great essay, Angela.

  15. Amy says:

Absolutely ValentineLaw! Another thing to remember is that OBL said it best when he stated that these terrorists, I mean pansies ;) love death whereas we love life(at least us moral Americans do).

What BO has done and continues to do is put our lives in jeopardy. I have absolutely no respect for him.

  16. Angela says:

Um… Kathy… you don’t know how to be nice. You don’t care to be civil. All you want to do is pick pick pick and be a little troll about it.

You have told me many times exactly what you think of me and I had to take in every word. That’s fine with me because it kinda comes with the territory.

Then you’ve come back and apologized to me trying to make niceties. I have just soaked it in and waited not holding my breath.

If you can participate in the discussions in a grown up way without making it so personal… you can stay. If you can’t be nice I would like you to leave. But, it doesn’t really matter what I think even though it’s my blog and my little corner of the blogosphere. You’re going to do what you’re going to do, my blog is public, and that’s just the way it is.

Let me just say this and you can take it however you want to. It is SO nice to have friends that are lawyers. I LOVE It!

With that said… I hope you try and have a nice day. And do not even pick on my friend PTG. We’ve been friends for a long time now and he is welcome to say whatever he pleases.

  17. Angela says:

@ValentineLaw — How are you doing with the circus act that is about to take place in NYC allowing the 9/11 Radical Muslim Terrorists into our courtrooms? Are you guys ready for the influx of supporters that are about to hit your city? Or is that already happening? I know Illinois is up in arms about it. Security will be tight for a long time but life around this process will be scary and dangerous. What do you think? What are your thoughts since you are in NYC and were there when the Twin Towers were hit and went down?

  18. Angela says:

@PTG — Yeah, Barack Obama doesn’t want to do anything responsible these days. I don’t understand how he can prance around the world while our troops are in need of support.

  19. Lee Ann says:

I agree with Angela-it is simply incomprehensible how this guy can gallivant all over the world *on the public’s dime* while there are soldiers dying, literally bleeding to death, because there aren’t enough supplies/equipment to get them treated quickly. Case in point, the British soldier, Jamie Janes, whose mother begged the leader of the Parliament to understand that her son could have been saved, but died since he was stuck in the field, where his fellow soldiers watched helplessly as his life slipped away. And, yesterday I heard someone on the radio state that Obama’s crew will eventually refer to the Fort Hood massacre as an isolated incident of ‘workplace violence’. I am truly ashamed to be an American right now. There are so many issues this man should be dealing with, but hey, as long as he and his wife are perceived as ‘COOL’, everything is fine, right? Style over substance. And that whole bowing incident with the Japanese emperor, that is simply disgusting and truly disrespectful to every citizen of the world!! The whole situation is dire, let alone despicable. I try to be positive–it’s increasingly difficult.

  20. Margaret says:

All the mud-slinging and nastiness aside, isn’t it possible to agree to disagree?

Isn’t it one of several reasonable responses, even if you don’t agree with it, to suggest that allowing law enforcement and investigative bodies to do the initial heavy-lifting before you let politicians send their own investigators in to make sense.

There is such a thing as “too many cooks” when it comes to sifting the facts from the misconceptions.

What I mean is, unless they plan to have each agency interview each witness, then they need to have the chosen agencies finish the interviews before they determine what other questions need to be asked for follow-up.

Similarly, until everyone knows what evidence has been collected and preliminary results of testing, etc., they can’t determine either what’s missing or what additional follow-up or double-checking needs to be done.

If they don’t let those two things happen before Congress (and how many other additional investigative bodies) send in more investigators, they may end up doing unnecessary duplication of effort, confusing or distracting the initial teams or also missing things that have been overlooked.

By reviewing the initial investigation, they can use their skills and resources to improve upon or correct problems with what has already been done.

You might now agree with me but you surely can see how that’s a reasonable approach that someone might choose to take.

    Can’t you?

  21. Angela says:

I do not see anything wrong with allowing the Department of Homeland Security to be permitted on the scene.

Yes, it is possible to agree to disagree. But in doing so that doesn’t mean each person is not permitted to share their viewpoint. Many people use the agree-to-disagree mantra to try and shut the opposing viewpoint up.
