Von Maur is opening up tomorrow at 10:00 AM

I had an opportunity to see the live news coverage of the interview between reporters, Mr. Wilson, and Mr. Wilson’s Doctor that has been instrumental in making sure this shooting victim survives his assault.

I love Mr. Wilson’s attitude about the incident as well as what his Doctor said about how we need to fix and maintain patients with a history of mental health issues. Mr. Wilson holds no hatred in his heart for the boy that shot them and he talked about how he intends to live his second chance at life to the fullest with love and appreciation for what life has to offer.

There is a memorial shrine in and outside of the Mall at Von Maur. The Nebraska Historical Society is already in the process of selecting volunteers to help remove items and to keep to have each and every one of them preserved for history. That’s the one thing that I love about Omaha. There is always a level of respect when honoring those that are lost. I’ve always been touched by such gestures of affection.

I intend to be at Von Maur tomorrow evening to show my support. I will probably purchase something from the store as a reminder for me to live every minute of every day to the fullest. To surround myself with loved ones that love me and to pray for those that have health issues of their own. When I say health issue, those that suffer from anxiety, paranoia, depression, lack of control, too much control, stubbornness, etc. You know who you are.

On the family front we have an Uncle that suffered a major heart attack and has been in the hospital in a medically induced coma with organs like his liver failing. If you could keep him in your prayers I would appreciate it very much. We really don’t want to lose anybody now OR especially at Christmas Time. Last I heard he was awake and able to talk but still not out of th woods. So just pray for him and if you don’t pray send him good and positive vibes that he would make it through this time with his health issues. Pray for healing and a new lease on life!

We are busy around here.. just finishing up last minute craft projects. As you can see from the Holiday Card I received just the other day, this is what the season is about. The meaning behind Jesus and all that he stood for in life. The service he gave to others and the price he paid for our sins. That’s all I have for now.

Oh and don’t forget about the diaper drive at the Lydia House. They could really use more diapers even if it’s just to pick up a pack, swing by and drop them off. I think the Open Door Mission needs help from volunteers to pass out Christmas Presents to needy families in our community. Won’t you volunteer?
