This professor is a genius

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class.

That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

    Angela,
That may not be enough if they have screwed things up so badly that it takes years to undo and rebuild.

  2. Angela says:

Oh I agree Vince. Barack Obama had no idea what he was talking about with his hope and change mantra and everybody that voted for him surely didn’t think he would be THAT radical and/or SLOW w/his decisions. I don’t think Obama understands what it means to protect and defend this nation, our troops, the people in it. It’s a big ol’ cluster !@#$ right now.

If you want to slow foreign aide, or stop it altogether, I’m happy to entertain that discussion. Just keep in mind that all of our foreign aid is less than 1% of our budget. If you want to cut out that 1% so be it, I’d rather start cutting from the 53% end of the candle though, since it is literally more than fifty-three times larger each and every year, and unlike the percent of money we are giving in aid, is increasing as a percentage every single year.

Again, we don’t have any DEBT to a foreign nation for aid. We do from defense spending.

    Angela:

What evidence do you have that the Senate Bill is going to take away your current coverage? You have to back something like that up. Remember when we went over the analogy of me calling you a pagan? I can say you’re a pagan all the live long day, doesn’t make it true.

We have the same business tax rate (without the benefit of universal health care) that Germany and Japan do. Why are they still capable of exporting and dominating global markets with the exact same rate of business tax?

The Health care bill is NOT going to add to the deficit. The cost is about 900 billion dollars according to the CBO report, that is absolutely true. But the cost of doing NOTHING (passing no law) in those next ten year is over a trillion dollars according to the SAME report. I need you to understand that under current laws every time someone goes to the emergency room without insurance, you are paying for it. Every, single time. So we need to change the laws. You don’t have to believe me on this point, but I really wish you’d look at the CBO report yourself.

If you’re done talking to me, that is fine. I knew you didn’t have anything to back up your claims that you knew anything about defense spending policy.

And if you really want to believe that Obama has three years left and that makes things easier for you, so be it.

But trust me, he is winning in 2012. Just do me a favor and do all you can to get Sarah Palin elected so it can be a good, clean fight when he is.

Good luck to you and yours and I wish everyone who participated in this thread the best of luck and happy holidays.

The Health care bill is not adding to the deficit by lowering our take home pay. Cost of the health care bill is taken out of our salaries. With credit card debt and loans at an all time high, what do you think is going to happen?

Oh, liberals will come out and claim the majority of the cost is being put on business. Who works for business? You and I. Business has two options: fire employees, causing more unemployment and hardship – and putting more people onto the government plan beginning a self-perpetuating spiral to oblivion, or the other option is to raise prices, bringing back inflation and also sucking even more money from your take home salary.

Then there are those who have either Subchapter-S corporations or else are single proprietorships, who get hit on both ends. Let’s see, who are by majority part of either of those two categories…farmers. So, farmers, many of whom don’t offer health care plans to those hired for part time work like corn detassling, well, they get forced to pay for all of them now.

Once cap and trade hits, raising energy prices for farmers on top of this, you will see the end of many farms.

Weren’t you liberal whiners helping ‘FarmAid’ for the family farmers back in the Reagan years? 25 years later, now you plan to backstab them.

Keep up the fight against the idiots on your blog, Angela.
