Obama was wrong about Kissinger

During Friday night’s presidential debate, Barack Obama claimed that one of John McCain’s advisers, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, supported his view that the U.S. president should meet with Iran’s president and other rogue dictators without preconditions.

The point made McCain livid, as he repeatedly pointed out that Kissinger, his friend of 35 years, would never back such a dangerous position.

McCain turned out to be right.

Kissinger released a statement immediately after the debate. It read:

“Sen. McCain is right. I would not recommend the next president of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the presidential level.”

“Look, I’ll sit down with anybody, but there’s got to be preconditions,” McCain said during the debate. He painted Obama’s previously stated position as reckless and naive.

This was something that troubled me during the debates. Here’s John McCain who has years of experience in foreign affair matters and Obama knows nothing in comparison.

It reminded me of Obama’s trip to Germany. He had made speaking in Berlin to the Europeans a priority yet he didn’t even bother to stop and see our troops. He couldn’t be bothered to visit the wounded yet he made efforts to speak to the Europeans via Berlin.

As I was watching the debate I kept thinking that there was no way Kissinger said that…Obama is a quack.

Me too Becki! Even when Obama was talking about it I knew that Kissinger would never say such things.

Obama and McCain are like night and day. It makes sense to think of what each one brings to the table in terms of political teams. We have to stop and take a look at who those people are and ask ourselves, do we want those people leading us for the next four years?

For example: Who’s team do you think Nitwit Pelosi would be on?

I think the main point that Obama supports is that communication should be made between differing countries instead of a policy of isolation.

Kissinger was not brought up tonight in the VP debate, but the topic was concerning Obama wanting to meet with the president of Iran. Loved what Palin said concerning that. Great debate tonight! I am looking forward to Tuesday nights debate.

I enjoyed the debate last night.

Joe Biden did not have a clue as to what he should do about Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin also made our biased news media look like crap with all the dumb questions they have asked her this week.

Make sure you check out the latest YouTube I just posted.

Heather, you might want to add QW to your Myspace. You can find her on my friend list in the “political” category that I have for my friends.

She is a black conservative with a lot of great things to say!!
