Kennedy, Clinton and Obama

I’ve been reading that Senator Edward Kennedy has a malignant brain tumor. Looks like it’s going to have to have radiation and chemo done in order to fight this thing. I feel bad for him and wish him a speedy recovery!

Obama has won in Oregon and Clinton was not beatable in Kentucky. Obama says he’s within reach of the Democratic primary but seriously.. it’s not over until the fat lady sings.

I have not been blogging as much OR as often because I’ve been super busy with my kids and working out at the gym. I just signed my littlest girls up for swimming lessons for the summer and I’ll be working out like crazy too.

I’ve been getting into the spin classes at the gym. I went Monday this week, yesterday, and plan to return this evening if I can make it there a little before 5:30.

I’ve also been working a lot out in the yard. I bought myself a new lawn mower for Mother’s Day. Believe it or not, mowing the grass is an excellent workout! I’ve also planted my flowers for the spring and summer. I added a few new sets of flowers to the front yard landscaping. When they start to fill out I’ll snap some photos for you guys.

My tulips didn’t come up this year because the squirrels dug up the bulbs and the rabbits at the leaves. I’m going to plant them again in the fall and see how THAT goes.

I’m excited for the summer! The last day of school for Lauren is Friday, May 23rd. She’ll officially be a SENIOR! That is so hard to believe. Then there is 15 days until my brother gets up here for a visit. I haven’t seen my brother and his family for 4 years. It’s going to be SO much fun. I’m also headed to my 20 year high school reunion. So much to see and do this summer and to tackle..

I think Kennedy needs to think about retiring from public office. He’s been serving for WAY too long.. wouldn’t you agree?

Yes, way too long. I feel for anyone who has serious health issues. It does make me wonder if he was a Republican, how many democrats would be wishing him a speedy journey to his grave. I know that sounds terible, but I cannot help wonder.

I agree– I think Ted’s retirement from his seat is long overdue. I happen to be one who’s for term limits and Ted certainly crossed that bridge long ago. Long, LONG ago.

I believe I am for term limits too!!

I don’t think it’s fair for somebody to be in a position of power for too long.
