We are SO screwed! lol
The mouse traps that we bought do work. If you use peanut butter it’s even better. The mouse in our house LOVES peanut butter.
When I woke up the next morning after having set up the mouse trap for the 2nd time before going to be.. I rolled down stairs to see what had happened with our mouse while we were sleeping.
Would you know that the mouse had dragged the mouse trap in between the refrigerator and the counter? I couldn’t tell if we had a mouse because of how the shadows hit the trap. So I found something long to try and pull the trap out with and immediately shoved it back into the shadow.
I still don’t know if we have a mouse caught or if the mouse is totally inside the trap or if the trap just nipped the mouse because all I could see what blood on the edge of the trap. And I’m such a chicken when it comes to this stuff.
So I’m saving the trap for my husband to deal with when he gets home from teaching his class in Washington D.C. But tonight I think I’ll set up the 2nd trap just in case the mouse is hobbling around my kitchen at night looking for food while we are in bed.
The next project will try to figure out where these little critters are coming from!

Mice. See one, count ten.
That’s what I was thinking too.
The little peanut must have been wounded the first time because when my husband came home and checked the trap there was no mouse.
There was evidence of something having been caught up in the trap though, blood, etc.
So the little peanut is probably away nursing his wound until he is well enough to come out and play again.
FYI – I wasn’t overly impressed with this Jib Jab video.
