It’s Time to Give Windows Live Writer a Run

Hi everybody. I’m not too sure how this post is going to turn out once I get it posted. So if it doesn’t look like it’s normal Divapalooza style just pretend that it is and keep reading.

Normally I would post to my blog with BlogDesk but today something screwy happened. I had a perfectly good post up that pointed to another Nebraska Blogger and now I can’t find it.

There was a video of a Marine talking about how Obama will sit down and talk to the leaders of countries that hate us but he won’t sit down and talk to the troops OR those leading the troops.

BlogDesk ate my post. I can’t even open the little yellow file on BlogDesk in order to make an attempt at trying to post the original one again. It just won’t let me.

So far I  like Windows Live Writer. The next test will be to see how it goes posting photos.

I am enjoying using Windows Live Writer so much that I deleted BlogDesk from my computer.

There’s a couple of things that I am enjoying about Live Writer.

1.) You can see how your post is going to look on your blog as you are typing it.

2.) The spell check is on as you are typing.

3.) It’s easy to insert photos into your post.

4.) You can select the date that you want your post to go live and what’s REALLY nice about that is it tracks which days you’ve already published without having to access the admin side of your blog. (AWESOME)

So far those are a few tid bits that stand out to me…

Let me know if you decide to give it a whirl and if there is something out there that you think is better than Window Live Writer, let me know that too!!

I started using Windows Live Writer about a month ago and love it. It is so easy to use and actually the formatting is easier than on the blogger platform. I have uploaded photos, videos and even used the scheduling feature. I love it and can’t believe I had not been using it all along.

I have to take #4 back. It doesn’t track the blogs that are going to be published in the days to come. I thought it did but it doesn’t. But, it’s still a good program. The only thing I don’t like is that it sometimes loads very slowly. That could have a lot more to do with the fact that my computer is OLD.

Angela, my computer is not that old (less than 2 years) and it loads slow for me too. Funny, that does annoy me too and I thought it was just me. :)
