I am disappointed in Oprah Winfrey. She has most certainly lost her way. I started watching Oprah Winfrey when I was a teen. My Mom and I used to watch her together. We loved her personality and she always seemed to be out spoken and over subjects that we felt were great topics.
I kept watching her and even praised her to the point that I at one time said I would vote for Obama if he would make Oprah Winfrey his running mate. I think back on how I used to feel about her and it makes me literally want to throw up.
Oprah to me is on a very dangerous path. She is turning people on to this new age belief that you can be your own God, you can create your path to being rich, and it’s ok to worship any God you want to because if you are a good person that is all that matters. She’s been endorsing books as if they should be taken the same way that you would take your Bible.
I am unimpressed with Oprah Winfrey. I’m sorry that I ever believed in what she had to say. In many ways, I myself made Oprah Winfrey my idol here on Earth. Shame on me for that! I was certainly blind before but not anymore.
It’s seems I’m not the only one upset with Oprah Winfrey who would in a disgusting way place so little value on the same innocent children that she would say she loves and cares for and supports with her money.
You don’t want to miss this, and while I don’t always agree with Dr. Laura, I think she is correct in her disdain for Oprah Winfrey.
I also think it’s great that the guy in Dr. Laura’s post breaks up with his girlfriend! I think everybody should break off those relationships that ultimately show the real truth of who we spend our time with. Life is too short to waste your time on people that have no regard beyond their own selfishness. Kudos again to that guy for breaking it off with his girlfriend.
I’m so glad to see you looked into Oprah and have started to see what she is really standing for. It is so sad that so many women across our country – and the world – do worship her and fall at whatever she says.
Glad I won’t be in her shoes on judgment day. We are not to worship idols – and if you make your own god, that’s an idol.
I had lost respect for Oprah a while back when she started this new age crap. I knew that she believed strangly for a long time, but I still watched the show. When she wanted to start a school or training in this, that is when I stopped watching her. I think that Oprah does a lot of good things for a lot of people and has a good heart in a lot of ways, but I will not watch her anymore.
About this story about the neglectful mother, I totally agree with you and Dr.Laura. She needs to go to prison.

@Becki, I think I started to feel that way when she began her book club. The book reviews and discussion I thought were great BUT then she started reviewing books that were a bit questionable as you know.. then there was the endorsement of Barack Obama and not having Sarah Palin on her show.. which is her choice absolutely but come on.. and now all this you-can-make-you-the-god-of-your-universe mumbo jumbo. I couldn’t help but notice that Dr. Laura was not all that happy with Oprah either having place the life of a child below the lives of animals.. etc.

I agree she probably should have had both candidates on her show, but maybe one didn’t want to come on, maybe she wasn’t invited, maybe Palins campaign team was afraid she might say something on TV they didn’t want her to say.
Maybe… lol ha ha! She made it pretty clear that Sarah Palin was not invited to the show and that she was not going to have any of the candidates on while the race was going on and ESPECIALLY since she has already endorsed Obama.
Oh but she wasn’t calculating at all when she invited Obama to her show to promote his book right before he through his hat into the race. Yeah.. whatever!
As we all know from Sarah Palin who is unashamed of who she is and where she’s from.. she has nothing to hide. They wolves were up in Alaska diggin’ up dirt on her because she is such a HUGE threat to their base they don’t know what to do.
They are basically doing the same thing to Joe the Plumber. The guy asked Obama a simple question, got a pretty direct answer about how Obama wants to share the wealth and spread it around.. and now everybody is diggin’ up dirt on him too.

“Paper thin” wow again really don’t think this should have turned into a political argument but it has and paper thin at that. The Record of Obama experience against Sarah Palin is a joke. He has although not a insurmountable amount individually, far more experience then Palin. I’m sorry its just the truth whether its just being a senator or being on committees passing bills or resolutions he has more experience. Hes a christian to boot. I don’t understand this blind hate and this fear mongering and how it works on the public I thought we were over that kind of ignorance. Now it seems if your a Mc Pa supporter your all about not spreading the wealth. Because o my that sound an awful lot like Communism didn’t that kind of ignorance die out in the sputnik days when spotting out the commies what what you were told to do. Here is my only issue the same complaints I here from some of the posters here are the exact same things I see on TV, the things they say to appeal to the people who only get their info from here say and the TV and never examine both sides. don’t give in to the people around you don’t give into your laziness do the research.
Ya i agree it was pretty week of Oprah to bring on Obama and not the other candidates your definitely right but that’s here folly.
When he said spread the wealth around he didn’t mean take Joe’s ten dollars and split it. It means regulate the way we spend taxes and take care of the hard working people who are struggling in the middle class and at the poverty line instead of the people make 250,000.
Sarah Palin has tons more experience than Obama. Since you and I don’t agree there is no point in going there with you.
If you could please site those reasons that would be great I might learn something I didn’t know about her. I want to make one thing clear I don’t dislike Palin because she s a women or a republican. I don’t prefer her because she make no qualms about being from what I know as under qualified. I also Want to make sure you know I don’t think Obama is perfect, know one is I simply think he is the best of the candidates that’s going to get elected. I wish Biden would have run cause I would have voted for him hes a great man with a great heart and he does what he says, well as much as I can know without meeting him.

What I asked for was really not difficult, its not personal opinion I want, its fact. Believe it or not fact exists. You and I have different opinions and that’s OK but amongst that personal opinion lies fact. Those are the things that help us form our beliefs, so if you could site some of those reasons that would be great. that way I know that you not just making a bias decision based of something you saw on TV.
