This is a Red Hot Blogger Carnival for those that would like to participate!
To participate in this one all you have to do is write about the Holidays and share a Holiday photograph from your home. It could be anything from your Christmas Tree, to a family Holiday Photo, to a Christmas Card that you scanned, OR even a Holiday Ornament if a Christmas Tree is part of how you celebrate. If you don’t celebrate Christmas OR you have some other tradition in your home, a photograph of whatever that might be would work as well. Send me your link and I will add it to my list of Holiday Bloggers within this post!
I finally got my Christmas Tree fixed. What I did was I found some extra long screws (two of them) and made the necessary repairs on my tree to keep it in working condition. I don’t want to buy a new fake Christmas Tree and I really don’t want to try using a real tree because I just can’t see chopping one down for Christmas. That’s just me.
A funny thing happened while I was Birthday Shopping over the weekend with my DH. We were standing in line at Walmart and I told the cashier “Merry Christmas” as I was leaving. He looked at me and said, “Happy Holidays” pretty matter-of-fact. (He didn’t say “And Happy Holidays to you too”) It was as if I was being challenged. So I responded pretty quickly with a “No, it’s Merry Christmas!” and he just rolled his eyes. I thought it was pretty funny myself and everybody that was standing in line thought it was funny too.

I’ve got my tree lit for the season.
I find it amusing that he was so adamant about saying “Happy Holidays” since Wal-Mart has gone back to this being about Christmas again. LOL Perhaps he was ::: gasp ::: OFFENDED! ;-)
