I almost threw up on MTV last night

Yes, I have been watching MTV since the early 80’s. Yes, I watched the MTV VMA awards last night. Yes, I was disgusted by Russell Brand. He’s an MTV Horror that needs to go back to the UK where he belongs.

I don’t think Russell Brand had any business trying to insert his thoughts about our politics. Again, somebody else trying to make the Presidential Election about race and more Bush bashing.

What did he mean when he said use a Condom Become a Republican? What does that mean? Anybody out there want to spell it out for me? Was he trying to say that Republicans don’t use condoms? What was his point? Who cares?

The Jonas Brother’s bashing was over the top. The Jonas Brothers are young men who happen to be Christians. They have made a pact to not have sex until they are married and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that.

Russell Brand is the exact opposite of the Jonas brothers. Maybe he was insecure OR intimidated by them.

I thought the MTV VMA award ceremony was supposed to be more about the awards and the music. It seems they tried to insert more shock than anything else. I kept thinking that they should get on with the next category or go to a commercial break.

Perhaps my time could be better spent than to watch MTV.

Yes, I’m looking forward to the next reality TV competition where they send off Real World Road Rulers to an island to compete for $300,00.00 in cash. Interesting stuff..

Maybe I’ll skip it all together.

“I know a few people at Viacom and I tuned in to see the MTV music awards tonight. I was disgusted and appalled when the British host Russell Brand started begging America to vote for Barack Obama. Like his opinion matters. He’s not even a citizen. What’s worse is that he attacked Sarah Palin’s pregnant daughter. He made a snide joke that her baby was not a boy or a girl, but a P.R. stunt.”

You can watch Brand’s opening screed here. This cretin’s claim to fame? Dressing up as Osama bin Laden on the day after the September 11 terrorist attacks. – Michelle Malkin

I don’t have MTV – something tells me I should be thankful for that.

Next time, watch Sunday night football! Less political! :) Great site! :)

Your right… I probably should have known better. Maybe it’s time to pick up professional football again so when college football isn’t going on I will have something else to watch. Thanks Ladies!

    Ah, so you’re racist.

“Perhaps my time could be better spent than to watch MTV.”
    Like learn foreign policy.

Ok Tina, that was a cheap shot. You weren’t even close to getting it right about me.

So because I felt that Russel Brand was horrible, you believe that makes me racist?

    Whatever!

  6. Bob Dudno says:

Wow, this is shockingly ignorant. Being from the U.K. is not a person’s race. Thus, a “white” or “caucasian” person can be from the UK or the USA or the Netherlands, but they are still the same race. If Russell Brand is thought to be an American-hating buffoon, it is simply because he is just that. It has nothing to do with racism.

  7. angela says:

    Thank you Bob.

I doubt seriously that Tina is paying much attention.

Did you know that she is sitting pretty up in Alaska hating on Sarah Palin?

So I suppose that saying anyone from Canada should go back to where they belong is fine.
Anyone in the U.S. from the U.K. should go back to where they belong.
I want ONLY Americans here in the U.S., because, hey, that’s where we belong, and not anyone else.
    It’s a hateful discrimination.

I still think Russel Brand was horrible. =]
