Have you ever burned Microwave Popcorn?

September 10th, 2007 by Angela | Filed under Ramblings.

You know those smaller half size bags of microwave popcorn? Well, I burned it thinking that hitting my normal popcorn setting on the microwave would somehow cook it just right.

Now my entire house smells like burned popcorn. What can I do to get the smell out? I have a candle from Bath and Body Works I’m going to light up. Maybe that will do the trick.

Remember that fan noise my refrigerator was making? Well, something is terribly wrong with the fridge and it makes an even louder noise than before. So the refrigerator man is coming today to fix it. Hopefully my Dove Chocolate Brownie Affair ice cream will last until then.

For a Monday I am bored, so I thought it would be fun to respond to some blog postings as I make my rounds in the blogosphere:

Time to Heal – I think you should kick your hubby to the curb. It sounds like he’s going to keep cheating on you as long as you continue to take this type of behavior. It’s clear that you are not his A#1.

Ok, have you ever participated in Mad Click Monday? If so, how do you like it so far. I will admit I had not heard about it until today when I read Mad Click Monday 09/10/2007 – Jo if you’re reading, I’m sorry to hear that you had a mini stroke. I don’t know what those are supposed to feel like but I sure hope you were not in any pain. Hang in there girlfriend!

I was excited to read that my friend G of XXX earned a little over $6,000 blogging and maintaining her sites and stuff. I know for a fact that she is earning this because we talk on the phone almost every single day about it. I’m not quite up to her numbers but I do earn in the neighborhood of about $10,000 each year for the last two years blogging, and doing this, that and the other around the internet. If you like to blog OR you have a blog why not make a little extra cash on the side in addition to what you love, right? It makes sense to me!!

MiniMarie I am so sorry to read that your grandmother has passed away. I will be thinking about the sorrow you must be experiencing over this. I am glad that you are able to attend her funeral. It’s really not a bad way to have closure.

So Sioux Me is having a rough week with her daughter going back to school. Maybe you can give her some words of encouragement. Here’s the part that caught my attention in addition to the “getting the belt” part: “Does external stress excuse really terrible behavior? Does that fact that she’s only doing what we, her parents, taught her to do give her a free pass? Both my husband and I have had really big meltdowns under stress. Does that mean we shouldn’t punish her when she only acts out what we taught her to do?”

Yes external stress can cause your kids to have melt downs. I would also add that how you react to those external situations that your kid has no control over can contribute to their tantrum too. Bad behavior warrants just consequences but I wouldn’t reach for the belt for her butt. She’s too little for that in my honest opinion. To be honest, I didn’t understand your third question. – What a cutie pie!

Ok, so if the candle trick doesn’t work is there anything else I can try besides Lysol spray?

For popcorn smell – umm leave the house for a few hours with a couple of windows open.

That has to be the worst smell! I hate burned popcorn.

As for the blogging for $$ – it’s been a long road to hoe, but I’ve made it. Perseverance is everything!

Hope your tuesday is better :)

That’s great because microwave popcorn is bad for you. The chemical in it can cause lung problems if you eat enough of it. I don’t know how much that is, exactly, but popcorn factory workers have issues with it as did some guy who ate two bags of it a day for who knows how many years.

Ewww burnt popcorn smells sooooooooo bad! I swear I burn every third bag I nuke. OY!

Thank you for mentioning me. You and Gayla are always welcome to join MCM if you want. I adhere to Google’s rules because I’m not telling people to click all the ads to make money. I’m telling them to click the ones that interest them and maybe they’ll find something they actually like. Granted, 90% of ads are crap but there are some decent ones. LOL.

I can’t believe you and Gayla make that much! Wow, I don’t even really have an income worth talking about from my blogs BUT I’ve gotten almost $1000 worth of products in the last two weeks from companies that want me to review for them sooooooo… I ain’t hatin’ it! :D

I finally got the burnt popcorn smell out by opening the windows and making some chili in the crock pot!

I did not know that microwave popcorn was bad for you. What’s the chemical called and what makes it so bad? (I’m curious now)

I am happy to mention you Jo! I like doing a blog once in awhile of the ones that really catch my attention.

Chances are, if I wrote about something that you wrote that means I’ve got you in my news reader.

At the beginning of the month I deleted every single blog out of my news reader and only added the ones from those that left comments on my blog. (legit commenting of course)

I’m no longer going to participate in reading and commenting on those blogs where the owners don’t take the time to read and comment too.

It just doesn’t seem fair to me. I LOVE to read and I LOVE to participate but not to the point where I am cutting my time off.

In other words, I am saving any extra time that I have for those that spent time on me.

Ok, so when are we going to exchange links Ms. Jo!?? ;)
