  1. I so love this picture. It sums up for me how I feel about him and his entire platform.

  2. Seth says:

This hits the nail on the head. Kudos for working up a historical perspective on our current woes. It’s such a shame that most Americans don’t understand the historical context of the socialism issue.

  3. Angela says:

    Robert Gonzalez ~ Ditto!

Seth ~ Most Americans are too busy feeling entitled. They will never understand what is happening right before their eyes until it is too late.

  4. Patty says:

    Scary thought and picture! LOL

  5. Can you say, “Entitlement programs”? That’s precisely what is happening. Get people used to getting from the government and little by little take away the freedoms set forth in our constitution.

    Jesus, Take Me Away!

  6. Clevergael says:

Bingo! We’re heading for marxist tyranny in a handbasket. It’s only beginning and all our protestations aren’t gonna make a whit of difference, sad to say.

  7. Angela says:

“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.” – Margaret Thatcher

  8. Allyson Kane says:

This is absolutely one of the most disturbing photos I’ve ever seen. It’s true and it’s very sad.

  9. Ken Brand says:

Come on people. We’re a long way from there. I’m not saying it isn’t headed in that direction. But, seriously, the door was opened and things imploded because greedy people abused capitalism.

I’m not down with all these tax the so called rich BS ideas, but I’m not down with Wall Street greed, excess and masters of the universe BS either.

We’ll see how it shakes out.

  10. Monica McPherrin says:

This is so true and has probably been in the works for years. It’s so sad that we may loose all that is great about this country because so many people are unaware or don’t want to know what’s going on.
Being complasent & hiding your head in the sand won’t make it go away. The government works FOR the people. We don’t work for them. We have allowed this corruption & greed to go on for too long.
People have to become more involved and put a stop to this and the Socializing of America.

  11. Tami says:

are you serious? LOL…i guess so…

excuse the man for trying to get people back in jobs, create new jobs and help folks from loosing their homes. excuse him from trying to insure that everyone who needs healthcare gets it (no more babies dying because their parents can’t afford surgery) and trying to bring home the troops and refocus the warfighting efforts. so for that he’s a Communist?

BTW…check out other countries their “socialism” allows for children to attend college (no one is “priced out) and for all citizens to receive health care. The words socialism, communism or democracy doesn’t scare me…its the people behind these governments that do.

glad to finally have someone in office who gives a darn.

this made my Friday!! thanks for sharing.

  12. Carol says:

The picture, as well as the replies, are extremely disturbing. People that are focused on negativity, scare tactics, and fighting do not want to live in peace, end hunger, or create jobs. Try being for something instead of against everything!

  13. Zane Safrit says:

    This is funny.

When you take a quote out of context from a leader of a failed nation based on a failed economic philosophy that isn’t even the one you’re afraid of and he failed because we, you and I, proved him and his philosophy wrong, over several generations, and you use this quote to encourage your readers to …oooo….afraid…very afraid….That’s funny.

Such an true statement. What happened to hope and change? Nobody so this coming. Just All of us Conservatives. What can we do to stop the train?

  16. Dude, taking away from a class of people so that the spoils can be delivered to others that are not as capable as those stolen from is not communism? Even moreso when the government is the entity behind it all? Why should anyone be punished for their success? Why should someone with the proven ability to succeed have to pay for those with the proven ability to fail? Why is it the government’s responsibility to cover all of the people’s needs? Why can’t the people be given an environment in which we are free to provide for ourselves?

His message sucks. Plain and simple. Even my youngest children understand that what he is doing makes no sense. “If no one has any money why is he spending what the government has on companies then taking more away from people that do have it?” Good question 8 year old daughter.

I have said this before, and I will say it again (or at least for the next four years): I want our president to succeed in restoring this country to greatness and for providing a place where we as Americans can thrive once again. I really do. But I do not want to become a country of Americans that are so dependent on the country to bail them out that we become comfortable living in failure so that the smallest segment of Americans that are a success can cover me and my needs. This country was not built upon those principles.

We are a country of fighters, of action takers and victors. Having our leader tell us that it will all be ok because his regime will make it so at the expense of the people he is serving just doesn’t make sense to me and seriously makes me uncomfortable as an American.

Of course, I am still going to do my best to attain to levels of success beyond the norm. And for now, if it means that doing so costs me half of it all so that those that do not want to be anything more than a government freeloader can, so be it.

And for the record, I ain’t mad at nobody. I just disagree with all the hoopla surrounding Obama and the looking upon of him as some savior of the country. I know what house my provison comes from and it ain’t the white house.

  17. Angela says:

Ken – We are not very far from being in a bad place at all. What makes you think that we are not headed in the wrong directions? I don’t want to wait and see how it all shakes out.. and I can’t believe that you do?

Tami – Obama is trying to get people back their jobs? If he wanted to do that he would have left the markets alone to work themselves out. All these “bailouts” are for nothing. No more babies dying? Are you aware of what Obama thinks of Un-born babies? Obama said he was going to bring home the troops and he LIED. He’s not bringing them home. You liberals have no idea if you are coming or going. First you are anti-war, and now that Obama is President, it’s ok that he lied and said he would bring the troops home because now he’s refocusing the war effort? Are you kidding me? Socialism is BAD. Socialism is WRONG. I don’t want my beloved country to turn into SOCIALISM. As far as healthcare goes, people from other countries flock to this nation because they can not get quality care. Why? Because their governments have the hands of the doctor’s all tied up. I come from a military family and I can tell you that government ran healthcare SUCKS. I seriously believe that you need to rethink a few things before you start wishing for The United States of America to turn Socialist.

Carol – What would you like to see happen OR did you pop on here to just bitch about what everybody else said without offering up the solutions that you demand of everybody else. At least we are invested in this discussion. What are you invested in Carol? Yourself?

Zane – What on Earth are you talking about?

Mike – You are right! Obama was supposed to be all about Hope and Change. What is Obama about today? He’s about doing exactly the opposite of what he campaigned on. Did you hear about the school programs to benefit underprivileged children being squashed in Washington D.C.? They tried to hide the notion in between earmarks. You know, the earmarks that deal in researching a pigs @$$? Just goes to show you what Obama really thinks of what should happen to our children as long as his girls continue to have only the best, right?

Robert – Yep, that’s one promise that Obama intends to keep — ie: the redistribution of everybody’s income. Like you, my husband and I will continue to take care of our responsibilities and we don’t need the government sticking their noses into our personal affairs.

You all have a lovely weekend…
