Do celebrity endorsements impress you?

Celebrity endorsements don’t impress me. Commercial Endorsements are made by people that have money.
I do have a question and maybe you know the answer to this but can political endorsements be written off when you go to have your tax return prepared?
I have a lot of respect and admiration for Oprah Winfrey but just because she endorses Obama doesn’t mean he’s the best choice.
Oprah went down to New Orleans to check out the stadium and took Mayor Ray Nagin at his word yet when it came to be that he lied about what was inside the stadium she never called him on it.
She endorsed a book as fact and truth and in the end it came to be that the author of the book lied and allowed Oprah to go on about it. Sure she called him on it but that still shows that celebrities are flawed.
Had she done her homework in both instances she may have saved herself some trouble.
Her endorsement of Obama is impressive but I’m one that I pay attention to everything and everybody around me. What do we really know about Obama? Anybody can get up there and talk about uniting the country but what has he done to prove that he’s the one that can do it?
To me, there is no difference between him and Hillary Clinton. The differences are minor. They both want the same things no matter how different their approach might be.
No candidate is perfect. For me it’s going to boil down to who is the most conservative candidate on the ticket. I don’t like John McCain BUT even with his flaws he is the most conservative man on the ticket running for President of the United States.
Other than that, I can’t afford for my property taxes to go up. We are sitting on $5,000.00+ per year, then there’s wheel tax, etc etc.. we just can’t afford it..
So yes, there is a lot to think about.
I hope Hillary Wins the Democratic selection. She is beatable and we don’t need any more Clinton’s in the white house. I’ve had about enough of the Clinton family. The Bush family needs to take a little breather as well.
