Today I was over on A Newt One reading about Barack Obama’s birth certificate debacle. Here’s what Snopes has to say as well as Michelle Malkin.
I’m in agreement. This conspiracy theory that Barack Obama is not a real US citizen has to stop. The fact remains that he was born in Honolulu Hawaii and a copy of his actual birth certificate is all over the internet. I don’t doubt that it’s real. Besides, why wouldn’t it be real? Why would our government have allowed him to be a representative running for the White House if he wasn’t indeed eligible to do so?
I am NOT a fan of conspiracy theories. I don’t mind reading about them and investigating them but when the facts are the facts it’s time to stop the conspiracies. I’m also not a fan of those out there that will take a conspiracy theory and use it to further their agenda. I locked horns with a few of those back in 2004 and it was not pretty. They actually did a pretty good job of making themselves look like complete and utter fools.
Now correct me if I am wrong but if Barack Obama had not been born in Hawaii OR did not have one parent a United States Citizen then he would have had to have become a naturalized citizen, correct? I’m not sure what the deal is with naturalized citizens. Are they allowed to become President of the United States? Not sure on that one. Maybe somebody out there can bring me up to speed on it.
Maybe somebody out there can help me with this one – I once new a family with a peculiar scenario. The father was born and raised in the United States, married to a German Citizen. They had two boys. One of the boys has a regular US birth certificate and the other one has a naturalized document of citizenship as of the age of 12 or so. How is that possible? Why would one brother have to be a naturalized citizen and other brother not? I was told it was because the one brother was born in a German hospital. But that would not mean anything, would it? The fact that the father is a United States Citizen would make it enough that his son would be too no matter where he was born, right? So basically I am left to believe that the two brothers were not really full brothers. I’m led to believe that they are really half brothers and there is more to the story. What do you think?
Obama was born in the United States – Read that
Section 1 of Article 2 of the U.S. Constitution states that a President must:
1. Be a natural born citizen of the united States
2. Be at least 35 years old
3. Have lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years
A scanned copy isn’t good enough for me – and so far that is all I have seen. A scanned copy won’t get you a passport or a drivers lisence. I don’t know the truth, but what I do know is that there are a lot of things I find fishy about Obama.
Oh well, he is still the next President so I best get used to it.
You must be a born a US citation you cannot be naturalized to be president… it’s in that pesky document called The US Construction. There was some talk of trying to disqualify John McCain due to the fact that he was not born in the United States. He was born at Coco Solo Naval Air Station in the Panama Canal Zone. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McCain)
The simple mater of fact is that if you are born on a military base overseas you were born on US sovereign soil, that means it’s a part of the Unites States in a foreign land. You are 100% US born citizen (aka like if you were born on Rammstein Airbase, Germany) . Some countries allow dual captainship so many people born oversize may also be a citizen of another country.
I’m not sure how it works if you are born in a forging hospital and part of the military or if you are just a US citizen and your child is born overseas … but that’s how it works for the military on a US base.
Next time you move to another state and need a new driver’s license, try this: Refuse to produce the birth certificate or any other personal information required by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Just explain that a facsimile of the required document is posted on your website and give the clerk the domain name.
Tell them: “I’m following the example of President-elect Barack Obama. If he didn’t need to produce a birth certificate to establish his eligibility to be president of the United States, why would you require me to produce one to get a lousy driver’s license?”
See if it flies.

There is no problem WHY is he spending $800K with three law firms to BLOCK it’s release? Answer that.
This is neither a right or left thing, it is a CONSTITUTIONAL issue.

I challenge you to go to the document provided by obama camp and scrutinize the document. It is an obvious and shabby forgery, anyone with objectivity can plainly see many spots of concern on it.

Examine the entries on the form, with a magnifying glass, there should be green pixels between typed letters, there should be no grey areas like those between the letters.
Also, the word African was never used in 1961 to desribe a persons race, blacks were either negro or colored on official documents.
Also, Barak Obama was not his given name. He had it legally changed from Barry Soetoro. There is too much evidence for even those who refuse to see the truth.
The next thing you’ll be telling me is it doesn’t matter that he is constitutionally disqualified from holding the office!
Our Government didn’t allow him to run, his party did it because they wish to destroy the constitution, and America. The Democrat party purposefully created this constitutional crisis as part of that effort.
The democrat leadership is globalist, not nationalist. our nations constitution is the only thing stopping them and their international allies from assimilating us into thier one world government agenda.

Look at the word Honolulu, it was clearly printed on a background very similar to the back ground on Becki and on my replies to you.
That word was OBVIOUSLY SUPERIMPOSED onto that document and could not have been typed.

My sons are both dual citizens, US and French, due to having a French mother and American father (and born in the US). Some actions have had to be taken to maintain the French side, since they have never lived there. They would be eligible to be president once they reach the required age.
Some countries offer dual citizenship…and some countries (if I remember correctly) require one to denounce their US citizenship to keep their citizenship to that particular country.
Aside from that – his mother was/is a US citizen.
Look, I don’t know what the answer is and I hope that it has fully been checked into. But here is what concerns me.
He was asked to release an original and refused. It wasn’t even him who released the duplicate it was the DailyKOS.
He is spending money to defend lawsuits asking him to release the original. Why? releasing it ends the debate.
All of the suits have been dismissed not because evidence was given. It has always been some other reason, lack of standing etc.. Never because the evidence was reviewed.
It also goes beyond the certificate, he has not released health records, donor list, etc… He has gotten away with far more than any candidate in history. He has not been held to the same standard as all the other candidates including his running mate.
He may have been born in the U.S. I don’t know I have not seen the certificate. What I do know is that he seems to be invincible even to the Constitution!
My primary reason on posting information a dual citizenship is that is highly possible for BO to be a citizen of two countries. And with that being said if you look at the US Constitution (with the link provide above and a quote below) it does not disqualify some one with more that one citizenship. (see Abe’s post BO would be “a natural born Citizen” )
Now it’s kind of hard to release an original document, as such it’s a one of a kind piece of paper. The only thing you can do is allow experts to examinee the original, much like the way that original ballets are recounted. That would be the easiest way to dispel any doubts… make these records open and available for inspection by experts.

Clause 5: No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
I think this is a conspiracy theory driven by the hard right. It has to stop.
The supreme court seems to be satisfied as are our law makers in Washington up to and including President Bush.

I still think the evidence we’ve seen on the birth certificate is questionable, but if the SCOTUS won’t take the case and the lower courts have overruled the suits, then it’s over. Hand-wringing gets us nowhere.

if this is a copy of the original birth certificate, why, in the bottom left corner, does it say “(rev 11/01) LASER.” does this mean 1901? i don’t think there were lasers in 1901.
I have no idea what it means.
At this point everybody seems to be ok with where Obama was born.
Everybody seems to be ok that he has the sufficient documentation to prove that he is a natural born citizen of the United States of America.
Nobody is really blogging about it, the reporters are not reporting on it, and it doesn’t even come up on FOX NEWS. So he must be legit, right?
